Cathy Koncurat is a Maryland based Theater Creator and Educator, specializing in youth musical theater. She is executive director of Theatreworks Live, a K-12 community theater nonprofit organization offering weekly classes and fully staged music productions. In addition to theater, Cathy has decades of experience in Music Education and Early Childhood Education. She has a BA in Music Education from Brigham Young University, a Maryland Early Childhood Certificate and is a second year MFA candidate at the University of Idaho. Cathy’s proudest accomplishment is being the mother of six adult children who are Educators, Artists and Advocates for justice. She also loves travel and is an avid reader.
